A Bird's Eye View of Rajasthan

22 Feb, 2012 by Neil Sealy

A hot air balloon ride in Rajasthan

Rajasthan has long been a favourite destination within India, and it continues to remain so. Most first visits to the sub-continent are not complete without a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, India’s capital Delhi, and the pink city of Jaipur. The recent introduction of balloon flights in Rajasthan now allows visitors to experience some well known sights from a completely new perspective.

Imagine floating over Amber Fort, on the outskirts of Jaipur, in a hot air balloon. Or drifting above Lake Pichola in Udaipur, with uninterrupted views of Udaipur’s majestic City Palace, or over the Ranthambore wildlife sanctuary and the splendid Ranthambore Fort. These balloon rides appeal to both first time visitors to India and travelers who are more familiar with the country, and are an exhilarating experience for all ages.

Flights are operated during the popular season, October to March, and can easily be included in a Rajasthan or Golden Triangle itinerary.
