TransIndus is one of the leading tour operators in the UK, specialising in tailor-made holidays to long haul destinations, in particular India & the Subcontinent, Southeast Asia and the Far East. Located in The Old Fire Station, a listed building in the heart of Ealing, the team consists of about 30 enthusiastic, well travelled members. Most members of the team are either graduates or post graduates and collectively strive to deliver very high standards of quality while working in a relaxed environment. Apart from work-related meetings there is the culture of frequent social events.

Surrounded by cafes and pubs the office is 5-minute walk from South Ealing underground (Piccadilly Line); 15-minute walk from Ealing Broadway Station and Bus 65 stops in front of the building. There is ample paid car parking.
To support the growth of the company, we need the following additional team members.

 

Experienced Burma Specialist Consultant.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Travel Consultant to join our dynamic and multicultural team at our London office in leafy Ealing.

We are looking for someone with at least two years of selling Burma holidays and tours. Good knowledge of Indo China would be a bonus.  The ideal consultant will have good knowledge, travel experience and industry experience. Above all you should be passionate about travel and have the ability to communicate your enthusiasm and destination knowledge to our customers. A high level of customer service, a good telephone manner and an ability to close sales are essential.

Naturally computer skills are a given but you will be trained on our own reservation system.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established quality operator and help grow our Burma and IndoChina product and sales.

A competitive salary (£21,000 to £26,000) and performance related bonus will be offered to the right applicants.

Experienced Country Specialist Consultant for our Journeys East product.

If you are a well travelled graduate, with an interest in ancient civilisations, are well read, have a sharp and agile mind, get along with people and have the desire to deliver excellent service and the will to succeed, you will be right at home in TransIndus as a travel consultant.

We are looking for a travel specialist with direct industry experience and first hand, in-depth knowledge of long-haul destinations, in particular Asian destinations, obtained through extensive travel and/or work abroad, to design tailor-made holidays for our widely travelled and discerning clientele.  Prior experience with a specialist tour operation will be essential. An interest in wildlife, walking, photography, reading, creative writing will be an advantage.

You will need to be numerate and comfortable with IT. 2 years industry experience is required.
 
A competitive salary (£21,000 to £26,000) and performance related bonus will be offered to the right applicants.

Admin Assistant

An ideal role for anyone wishing to enter the travel industry as it gives exposure to all aspects of our functioning, preparing you for career development in a sector of your choice or a sector suited to your skill set. The candidate will provide a support to the management and sales teams. 

Good command of written and spoken English, IT competence, an ease with numbers and ability to use spreadsheets is required. Prior experience in the hospitality, services sector or public relations will be an advantage.
The right candidate can expect a competitive salary (£12,000 to £16,000).
