Congratulations to AITO’s new Deputy Chairman

The whole team at TransIndus are proud to announce that yesterday Amrit Singh, our Managing Director, was officially named as the new Deputy Chairman of AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators). 

Amrit is the first female to hold this role, and around the office there have been comparisons made to Margaret Thatcher (possibly just me!). 

TransIndus joined AITO is 2003 and Amrit has been a member of the council for the past 3 years, first holding the portfolio for training, before joining both the membership committee and the website committee. 

As well as her current responsibilities, Amrit’s new role will also involve working closely with Chairman Derek Moore, approving budgets, helping with the organising of Association events, strategic reviews and numerous other jobs that may arise when working with the Association.

In accepting this role, Amrit says she is delighted to be able to give something back to the association that has helped us in so many different ways over our 10 year membership
