The Great West Run

In a bid to start 2012 with a bang, raise some money for a very worthwhile cause, and hopefully see off some of the extra lb’s gained over the festive period I decided to sign myself up to the Great West Run half marathon on Sunday 6th May.

So far my training has been in fits and starts (owing in part to the snow and ice of a couple of weeks ago) but with just over 2 months to go it is time to lace up my running sneakers and get out into the early Spring sunshine.

The aim is simple – run every step of the 13.1 miles and raise as much money as I can for the wonderful people at Macmillan Cancer Research - so if you are feeling generous please spare a moment of your time to make a donation via my just giving page.
