TransIndus promote a number of special guest lecturer tours led by eminent people in their respective fields. These guest lecturers have strong links with India - for example through researching various aspects of its cultural heritage, writing or speaking about its history or current affairs, and living or working there for extended periods - and their personal experience and extensive knowledge of the country makes these tours especially rich and rewarding. They all continue to maintain ties with India and are involved in assisting or promoting its heritage in one form or another.
Designed jointly with the guest lecturer, these tours are a reflection of his or her interests and a concise exploration of the destinations' specific heritage. The tours often focus on, for example, remote and rich architectural treasures seldom visited by most tourists, India's varied wildlife, the legacy of the Raj in a particular area, lifestyles of the maharajas, regional cuisine and ancient methods of body and mind healing. Whatever the specific theme of the tour, the guest lecturer's knowledge and expertise enhances the travel experience.
