Tours to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Kerala

Straddling the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border in south India, Periyar is far and away the region’s most visited wildlife sanctuary, sheltering a vigorous population of wild elephant, Indian bison (gaur) and even a handful of tigers amid its luxuriant forest cover. The park’s core is a man-made lake which you can explore by launch or on special bamboo rafts, guided by ex-poachers.
