When To Go To Burma

Burma has three distinct seasons, with the dry and cool winter months of November to March being the best time for most of the country. Temperature starts to rise in late February and it can get quite hot, upto 40°C in Yangon, and remains high till the rains start in May, which last till October.

The dry zone of Mandalay and upper central Burma can still be visited during the months of July to September. March to May is a good time to visit the hill stations of the Shan State and the Rakhine State coast.
