Rail Travel

There are good trains travelling through Malaysia to Thailand. The Eastern and Oriental Express, a luxury train service modelled after the famous Orient Express is also available.

Singapore has an excellent underground system called the MRT (Mass Rapid Transport) that covers all corners of the island.

Road Travel

Singapore has an excellent and efficient system of roads.

Boat travel

Ferries run to the Riau islands of Bintan and Batam in Indonesia.
