Day 1
London, Delhi

Depart the UK in the evening on a direct overnight flight to Delhi.

Day 2
Delhi

Transfer to the luxury Shangri la Hotel for relaxation after the long flight.

Day 3
Delhi, Ranthambore

Take an exciting day time train to Ranthambore where we stay at the Sawai Madhopur Lodge or Khem Vilas for two nights. The first game drive is scheduled this afternoon.

Day 4
Ranthambore

Enjoy morning and afternoon safaris today. Tiger sightings are on the increase in Ranthambore and there is a wealth of other wildlife to see.

Day 5
Ranthambore, Agra

Another train is scheduled this morning to Bharatpur. Here we visit the famous Keoladeo Bird sanctuary by cycle-rickshaw. Later drive on to Agra for a night at the Trident Hotel. An exciting day is rounded off in true style with a sunset visit of the Taj Mahal.

Day 6
Agra, Khajuraho

Journey by train to Jhansi and from here drive on to Khajuraho for a one night stay at the Radisson Hotel.

Late afternoon visit the Chandela temples, well known for their intricate detail and erotic carvings. There's the option of a son et lumiere show this evening.

Day 7
Khajuraho, Bandhavgarh

Waking early we drive to Bandhavgarh and stay at the King's Lodge for two nights. Bandhavgarh is situated in the undulating Vindhya hills and is home to spotted deer, blackbuck, wild oxen, sloth bear, sambar dear, nilgai, barking deer, leopard and tiger.

The rich and varied birdlife includes golden orioles, parakeets, hornbills and partridges. Your first visit to the park is arranged this afternoon.

Day 8
Bandhavgarh

Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep safaris.

Day 9
Bandhavgarh, Kanha

After an early morning safari, drive on to Kanha National Park. As one of India's largest and most picturesque parks it is a naturalists paradise and boasts a total 22 species of mammal. Most commonly sighted are the spotted deer, swamp deer, blackbuck, langur monkey, jackal and three-striped palm squirrel. Tigers, Indian hare, dhole (wild dog) and bison (gaur) are a little harder to find.

The lucky few may even see some of the parks shyest characters such as the fox, sloth bear, striped hyena, panther and mouse deer. Bird lovers are also catered for with over 200 species found in the mixed forest and bamboo breaks of the park. Stay three nights at the comfortable Kanha Earth Lodge.

Day 10
Kanha

Full day of game drives (morning and afternoon). Kanha National Park offers both scenic beauty and exceptional wildlife encounters.

Day 11
Kanha

Another full day of game drives (morning and afternoon).

Day 12
Kanha, Pench

In the morning drive to Pench National Park and stay for a night at Tuli Tiger Corridor. Enjoy an afternoon's jeep safari in this lesser visited but nonetheless beautiful park.

Day 13
Pench, Satpura

Drive on to Satpura today, staying three nights in the rustic comfort of the Reni Pani Lodge.

Day 14
Satpura

Over the next two days enjoy all that Satpura has to offer by jeep, elephant safari, guided nature walks and boat rides.

The landscape here is rugged and harbours some of India's most endangered wildlife including Wild Dog and Tiger. A befitting final wildlife experience to this exciting tour.

Day 15
Satpura

Another day of exploring Satpura.

Day 16
Satpura, Delhi

A final morning's jungle visit is planned before transferring to Bhopal and flying on to Delhi. We stay at the high class Leela hotel in Gurgaon (a short drive from the airport) for the final night.

Day 17
Delhi, London

Fly back at midday.
