Fly from the UK to Cochin on an indirect flight.

Upon arrival in Cochin we're met and transferred to the comfortable Casino Hotel for an overnight stay. In the evening enjoy a sunset cruise on Cochin's water ways.

Departing Cochin we drive up into the scenic 'Western Ghats' towards Periyar, stopping en route at a plantation bungalow for lunch with a local family. Spend the next 2 nights at the Spice Village, a first class ethnic property. This afternoon visit nearby spice plantations.

This morning enjoy an elephant-back ride. In the afternoon we visit a nearby farm to observe the traditional farming methods.

Descending from the 'ghats' we drive to the backwaters of Kumarakom where a boat awaits to transfer us to the first class Coconut Lagoon, which overlooks the tranquil waters. Spend two nights in these relaxed surroundings. In the evening enjoy a sunset cruise on Lake Vembanad.

Morning guided bird watching tour. Afternoon at leisure - your resort has excellent Ayurveda facilities and a lovely pool.

Today take a short transfer to the elegant Marari Beach Resort where you will stay for 2 nights. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
