On day 9 enjoy a long daytime train journey to coastal Tellicherry. Stay 2 nights at Ayisha Mansil, the elegantly restored period home of a Mopilah family, on full board. Visit the local Mopilah homes and the nearby temple at Parassinikadavu, where there is a regular theyyam performance, and enjoy the excellent cuisine of your gracious hostess.

On day 11 drive to Athirapally, visiting the elephant stables at Guruvayoor en route, stay at The Rainforest, in the midst of dense jungles, for 2 nights. The resort overlooks the impressive Athirapally waterfalls. At leisure for walks, a visit to the nearby tribal village or a jeep safari through the forest. On the morning of day 13 drive back to Cochin airport for your return flight.
