Kanha National Park, North & Central India, India

Kanha Jungle Lodge is a family-run property with twenty rooms nestled deep in the sal forest. Your hosts at the lodge, Tarun and Dimple Bhati, are passionate about Kanha’s flora and fauna and are more than happy to share their in-depth knowledge on tigers, birds and butterflies.

Kanha Jungle Lodge boasts some excellent eco-friendly policies. Built with minimum impact to the environment, the lodge runs on energy from the sun, food waste is composted by worms and delicious meals are served using solar cookers (lessons using these methods are encouraged).  Take a tour of the organic garden where much of the food in the dining room is sourced or, between safaris, take a walk through the medicinal plant garden.

In the evenings, look out for flying squirrels before joining Dimple as she showcases the night sky with her telescope.
