The Kanha Shyam’s a modern, multi-storey hotel in the commercial centre of the city. It’s popular mainly with business visitors, though tour groups transiting between Varanasi, Khajuraho and Agra also use it.

The rooms vary greatly in standard, ranging from so-so to quite plush, depending on availability, but the beds are comfy, the showers hot and the multi-cuisine restaurant dependable.
