Kuala Lumpur, Malacca and Penang may be the well known highlights of Peninsula Malaysia but explore a bit further a field and there is an abundance of natural beauty. Take in the relaxed Lake Garden with its stunning Orchid Garden, Butterfly Park and Bird Park in the midst of the sky scrapers of pulsating KL.
Move onto Fraser Hill for some bird watching and interesting trails before taking in Malaysia’s most famous hill station, the very british Cameron Highlands. Via boat, venture into Taman Negara national park and explore its intertwining river channels and canopy walkways. Near the border with Thailand you’ll get to experience the vast, dense jungle of less visited Belum National Park before finishing up on the tropical rainforested archipelago of Langkawi.
