Visa Information & Helpful Tips For Travelling To Asia

Passport & visa information for British citizens:

It is the individual traveller's responsibility to ensure they obtain the correct visas for their holidays. Our information below is here to guide you, but as this information can change without prior warning, we'd always recommend also visiting the Foreign & Common Wealth Office website for their official information on entry requirements: www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice

All travellers are required to hold a passport valid for at least six months after the return date of your trip. It should also be endorsed with all the visas required for your journey. Failure to obtain visas, for whatever reason, does not entitle you to cancel the holiday without applicable cancellation charges.

If you'd like assistance applying for your visas, Travcour (UK) is our preferred partner for all visa-related services - www.travcour.com You can contact them at [email protected] or call 0208 543 1846

Do mention that you are travelling with us for access to their especially prepared TransIndus visa information packs, specific to our destinations, containing the right information and forms for you to get your visa applications sorted with the minimum of fuss.

They have a helpful list prepared to include all our destinations - https://www.travcour.com/page/tour-packs/transindus.php

The following countries currently permit visa-free entry for British Nationals:

Please note

  1. The guidelines above apply to UK nationals only. Other nationalities should contact the relevant consulate or Travcour for more information.

  2. These guidelines are subject to change without prior warning and we recommend all travellers seek the latest information at the time of booking.

Travel insurance:

We recommend you take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy providing financial protection from the time of your booking to the end of the holiday, including the journey to and from your destination. Such cover should provide cover for:

  • Any unforeseen occurrences (such as accidents or illness) that may require: the cancellation of your holiday prior to departure; cover for costs incurred by accidents, illness, medical expenses or repatriation while abroad

  • Cover for: the loss due to theft or accidental damage of personal belongings; lost or delayed baggage during the outbound and return legs of your journey

  • Personal liability

  • Overseas legal expenses

  • Cancellation fees

If you are undertaking any sports or adventure – activities such as trekking, hiking, horse riding or other –you should inform your insurance provider and ensure the policy covers it.

If you require help obtaining cover you can contact HOLIDAY EXTRAS, our insurance partners on their free UK helpline at 0800 093 1900 with quoting reference: TRANSINDUS or visit their website www.holidayextras.co.uk/holiday-insurance.html?agent=transindus  for a quotation.

Once you have your policy in place, ensure you complete the insurance section of the booking form so we can offer help and support should it be required.

Please note: Transindus Limited is absolved of any responsibility if you fail to arrange appropriate cover for all your holiday arrangements and subsequently incur costs that would normally be covered by the said insurance.

Accessibility & Assistance:

Most of Asia is very accessible and a great deal of assistance is possible for people that require additional assistance.  However, the terrain, facilities, altitude and climate in some locations may make them unsuitable for those with mobility issues, heart and respiratory problems, or suffer from poor circulation.

It is essential you disclose any special requirements to us at the time of the quotation so we can propose a suitable holiday for you.

Health Advice:

There are no mandatory vaccinations for entry into any of the countries we take clients to, unless you are arriving in Asia from a country infected with yellow fever, in which case you will need an inoculation and paperwork to prove you’ve had it.

It is advisable to check/refresh vaccinations for polio, typhoid, tetanus, hepatitis A, meningitis, cholera, and malaria. Please consult your doctor at least 6 weeks prior to departure

We recommend visiting your GP or medical practitioner at least six weeks before your departure date to make sure that you have sufficient time to complete any course of medication recommended.  Some vaccinations require several doses for effective cover.

Foreign Office Travel Advice:

The FCO monitors safety and security issues all over the world and offers guidance to travellers via their website on:

www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice

We follow the FCO advice and may have to re-route or cancel or postpone certain trips to comply with their recommendations.  If we are forced to make changes to your itinerary or cancel the visit altogether we will contact you to discuss options.

World travel & cultural differences:

Local culture, lifestyle, attitudes, infrastructure, and priorities may be very different in your destination for what you are used to at home. Most of us travel precisely to experience these differences, but even so, they can sometimes create difficulties and inconvenience, especially if they impact your travel arrangements.  We therefore suggest that if anything should not go strictly to plan on your trip, you try keep an open mind, make allowances for cultural differences and seek assistance from our local representatives who are ideally placed to resolve any concerns you may have.
