This tour gives you an ideal mix of culture, monuments, nature and beach relaxation in Java and Bali. Starting in Indonesia's second largest city, Surabaya, you travel west to see the spectacular and still active Bromo volcano.

Visiting the town of Solo, you journey to Yogyakarta, a good base to explore the World Heritage Sites of Borobudur and Prambanan temples. You then travel to the Losari Coffee Plantation before flying to the island of Bali and exploring Ubud. Your tour ends with a few days of relaxation at a beach resort in Candidasa, Bali.

UK

Fly to Jakarta via Singapore.

Arrive in Jakarta. Check in to the first class Alila Hotel for two nights. Day at leisure to rest and relax after the long flight.

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city in the morning, including the National museum, Sunda Kelapa fischer and local merchant's harbor, Fatahillah Square with its old Town hall and a glimpse of the National Monument. Afternoon visit Indonesia miniature park.

Yogyakarta

Fly to Yogyakarta today and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Hindu temples of Prambanan. Check in to the first class Hyatt Regency for two nights.

Yogyakarta

Explore the city in the morning. Visit the Sultan Palace, Water Castle and Sonobudoyo museum. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Buddhist temples of Borobudur . You also visit Mendut and Pawon temples.

Solo

Drive to Solo in the morning. Take an excursion to visit the Royal Mangkuregaran and Kasunanan temples famous for its priceless antique collections, and a local Batik factory. Stay at the first class Lor In Hotel for the night.

Malang

A long drive (6-7 hrs) brings you to Malang. En route visit the Candih Sukuh temple on the slope of Mt Lawu and Sangiran temple. Check in to the Tugu Malang, a standard grade character property for two nights.

Malang

Early this morning drive to Bromo volcano in Tengger. Enjoy the spectacular sunrise over Mount Bromo . Later explore the crater and if you like hike in the picturesque surrounding region. Return to Malang to enjoy a guided tour of the city.

Surabaya

Drive to Surabaya in the morning. En route visit the ruins of the Singosari Kingdom, including the Singosari temple. In Surabaya visit the old harbour, Kayoen flower market and Arab quarter. Stay at the first class Majapahit Hotel for the night.

Ubud

Fly to Denpasar in Bali today. Transfer to Ubud and stay at the Waka Di Ume Resort, a standard grade traditional style property, for two nights.

Visit the Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest; Mengwi, the former palace of Taman Ayun; and Tanah Lot Temple.

Candidasa

In the morning drive to Candidasa . On the way stop at the Besakih, the magnificent mother of all of Bali’s temples, and then Tenganan Bali Aga village, famous for its Balinese double ‘ikat’ weaving. On arrival in Candidasa, check in to the first class Alila Manggis Bali for three nights. Rest of the time is at leisure.
