Belmond Eastern and Oriental - Wild Malaysia

The Eastern & Oriental Express, Belmond's luxury train in Malaysia is a travelling memoir of a beguiling age. The signature cream and green exterior gives way to polished wood-panelled corridors and silken furnishings with a hint of multiple Asian designs. Once inside, take your seat at the Bar Car where a jazz-club ambience reigns with music lingering in the air, while stewards serve champagne and signature cocktails. 

The two dining cars, Adisorn and Malaya serve up exquisite cuisine reflecting the arts and culture of Asia in their design — dine within elm panels and light wood design inlays, or rosewood with decorative lacquered panels hand painted with delicate flowers.

For the best views onboard, head to the Observation Car. Located at the rear of the Eastern & Oriental Express, it’s the perfect place to sit back and relax under the moonlit sky. Panelled walls and teak floors evoke a bygone era, giving the Observation Car a certain spirit of grandeur.
