This is a relatively modern property, but was designed to recreate the feel of a 19th-century French mansion, with pressed hardwood floors, teak furniture, private balconies, bright white walls and repro antiques dotted around the walkways. The rooms are spacious and light – ‘Deluxe’ buys you a pool view rather than one of the grounds. Outside, the large saltwater swimming pool is a real oasis after a morning spent exploring the temples. You can also ease your wat-weary bones with an indulgent massage at the hotel spa.
