Bhutan

The much-anticipated Six Senses Bhutan are now open in Thimphu, Punakha and Paro with two more due to open in Gangtey and Bumthang. Chosen for their breath-taking locations and designed as a circuit of five lodges around Bhutan's highlights, discerning travellers are now able to experience the luxury and hospitality of Six Senses in a part of the world few have ventured. Each of the Six Senses lodges will have its own unique design reflecting the heritage of the Kingdom of Bhutan and the local surroundings. At each property there will be a GEM (Guest Experience Maker) to assist you in exploring and making the most of the area, whether you want to trek to the Taktsang Goempa (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) or relax with a personal yoga session.

To take full advantage of the spectacular views, all lodges have over-sized decks and large, floor-to-ceiling windows. And like all Six Senses properties, the lodges in Bhutan each have an indulgent spa and wellness centre where guests can enjoy a menu of treatments, including hot-stone baths. Each lodge is also home to a resident monk, available for guided meditations and butter-lighting ceremonies.

Please note: Six Senses Gangtey is scheduled to open in late summer 2019 and is accepting reservations from October 1, 2019. Six Senses Bumthang is scheduled to open in the autumn of 2019 but is not currently accepting reservations.
