The Salim Ali bird sanctuary at Thattekkad with over 257 species of birds offers a rare view into the world of birding in Kerala. A short ride across the Periyar river are the permanent en-suite tents with sit-outs, European style closet, shower and running water. The camp is designed to give guests an eco-adventure experience.
