Bandhavgarh National park, North & Central India, India

Bandhavgarh lodge’s history is closely intertwined with tiger conservation when Shri Kailish Sankhala raised the alarm about the shocking scale of tiger hunting and went on to lead India’s Project Tiger. It was his son who took it in a new direction integrating tourism with conservation, setting up Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge in 1992 and pioneering the ecotourism movement.  An 18-room lodge whose architecture is inspired by traditional village style homes, and with sustainability and conservation at its heart.

Being just 200 metres from the National Park, wildlife is abundant around the camp, and the lodge’s naturists will delight in sharing their knowledge on the local flora and fauna. Evenings are spend sharing stories around the campfire, enjoying performances from local artists or relaxing in the library.
