After a day’s sightseeing in the hot Karnatakan sunshine, you’ll want to shower off and relax somewhere comfortable, tranquil and, preferably, green. This place fits the bill perfectly.
Surrounded by luxuriant foliage, its cosy red-tiled cottages have old-fashioned furniture and modern bathrooms, with sitouts opening on to a flower-filled garden where there’s a curvy pool to splosh about in. Dinners are informal multi-cuisine buffets, served by staff in traditional Coorgi turbans, cummerbunds and white tunics. Everyone’s courteous and eager to help; and the manager’s always close by should you need any advice.
