Galilee, Israel

The Scots Hotel is a boutique hotel, formerly the Scots Mission Hospital, found on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in Tiberias. Comprising of two refurbished 19th century basalt stone buildings, one which served as the home of Dr David Watt Torrance, the founding physician, the other as a school for nurses, and a newly built modern structure. The 69 rooms are spread across the three buildings, some have sea views, and they are all full equipped. In the restaurant you will find a combination of Israeli and local Galilean cooking, using locally sourced ingredients, and the old hospital’s warehouse is now an atmospheric wine bar. Relax by the pool, overlooking the Sea of Galilee or treat yourself to a visit to the spa.
