Fly to Yangon via Bangkok.

Arrive in Yangon and transfer to the first class Governor's Residence, Yangon for two nights. In the evening enjoy a walk through Chinatown and the fascinating Bogyoke Aung San Market.

Tour the city including the gilded Sule Pagoda, the National Museum and the giant reclining Buddha at Kyaukhtatyi. You also visit the serene Kandawgyi Lake and the awe-inspiring Shwedagon Pagoda.

Kyaikhtiyo

Drive by open jeep to Kyaikhtiyo visiting the Pagodas at Bago en route. Stay at the tourist grade Mountain Top Hotel for the night. Visit Golden Rock Pagoda, Kyaiktiyo.

Mawlamyine

Drive to Mawlamyine visiting the town of Thaton en route. Stay at the tourist grade Attran Hotel for two nights. Sightseeing of this former British capital of Burma includes Gaung Say Kyung Island, Mon cultural museum, Mahamuni Paya, Kyaikthanlan Paya and central market.

Enjoy an excursion to Mudon, a town known for cotton weaving.

Yangon

Drive back to Yangon via Kyaikhtiyo. Stay at the Governor’s Residence Hotel for the night.

Fly to Heho in the morning and visit Pindaya Limestone caves. Continue to Kalaw where you stay at the tourist grade Amara Hotel for two nights.

Visit the unique leg rowers, the floating markets and the village life around this idyllic lake. Later see the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Nga Pe Pagoda, popularly known as the Jumping Cat Monastery, a wooden monastery built on stilts over the lake.

Enjoy a boat trip to In Dein village and take an excursion to the ancient monuments at Kakku Pagoda complex which has over 2,000 stupas.

Mandalay

Fly from Heho to Mandalay and check in at the first class Sedona Hotel, Mandalay, for three nights. Later enjoy a visit to the Golden Palace, the Kuthodaw Pagoda and the revered Mahamuni Pagoda to see the bronze image of Buddha covered in thick gold.

Visit the Amarapura Monastery to witness monks going to breakfast, their only meal of the day. See U Bein’s teak bridge and enjoy a boat ride on the Ayeyarwady to the visit the unfinished pagoda at Mingun. Enjoy a visit by pony cart to the former capital of Ava, including the ‘Leaning tower of Ava’ and the Bagaya Monastery. Time permitting, visit the Sagaing hills for a scenic sunset.
