Halong Bay, Vietnam

The smallest ship in Heritage Line’s collection is the Violet, named after the beautiful Violet Chirita, a delicate purple-flowered plant native to the rocky slopes of Halong Bay, and built to resemble a traditional Asian junk. With just six luxurious cabins, this is the epitome of boutique sailing, and having just completed a 3-month full renovation, she is looking better than ever. The décor is Art-Deco-Indochinese with a modern touch. Gleaming wooden floors and opulent silks and velvets fill the two Junior Suites and four Imperial Suites, and floor to ceiling windows frame the breathtaking views.

The large sundeck offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery of Halong Bay, and for those early risers, is where you will find the early morning Tai Chi classes. The newly renovated spa now features a couple’s spa room, in addition to the already existing single massage room, and the cosy restaurant has newly installed partitions to offer an enhanced private dining experience. Alternatively opt for ‘dinner under the stars’ with a secluded table on the sundeck. Wherever you choose to eat, we can assure you that the food will be sumptuous. Privacy is guaranteed on the Violet and is perfect for those celebrating a special occasion or looking for a romantic getaway.

The Violet can be experienced on a one or two-night cruise of Halong Bay, as part of a longer itinerary exploring Vietnam. For more information, please call and speak to one of our Vietnam specialists.
