Shahpura House, Jaipur
Shahpura House, is located in a plush residential area of Jaipur, well insulated from the bustle and chaos of the city. Once residence of erstwhile rulers and scion of the Shekhawat clan of Rajputs. The house has been converted into a hotel by Maharaj Surendra Singh ji and it has remained a family home. The traditional Rajput architecture is a mixture of Mughal and Indian, a facade with domes and frescoes. The House is a very fine example of Shekhawati frescos and architecture.
