Our first-choice property for exploring Wadi Nakht and the Jebel Shams region is this strikingly situated eco resort, which sits at 1400m on the high slopes of a grandiose desert valley. As its name implies, the panoramas are the chief selling point here, and they are stupendous through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the guest rooms. We also love the pool. After a hot and dusty day of travel (the final 8km of it over unsurfaced roads in a 4WD) there’s no better way to revoer than a leisurely dip with a view such as this.
