Housed in a building that once served as headquarters for the RAF, the 18 rooms and suites have been painstakingly restored and are chic and stylishly decorated. There are two family suites as well as the two-bedroomed Mountbatten Suite, which comes with its own private plunge pool.

The Verandah Restaurant, out in the grounds, offers a range of local and international dishes, with many of the ingredients sourced from the hotel’s kitchen garden. There is a secluded swimming pool and the Z Spa offers a range of treatments using Sri Lankana ingredients including pink tea and coconut scrubs.
