At some stage in their holiday, most visitors to Vietnam want to experience the translucent blue-green waters, fine white sands and lush tropical greenery of the country’s coastline, and there are a wealth of resorts to choose from, ranging from small, boutique, Robinson-Crusoe-Esque hideaways to the large, modern beachfront resorts catering for your every need. The choice of beach resort depends much on which stage of the holiday you prefer to relax at a beach.

Vietnam's best beaches are found in the central and southern regions plus off the coast, on some beautiful islands. Here is a selection of our favourite locations. for more information contact our team.

Beaches of Central Vietnam

Midway down the coastline of the South China Sea, you begin to find the brace of beaches and lagoons congregated around Lang Co, Hoi An and Danang, close to the fringes of Vietnam’s cultural hub. These central-Vietnam beaches provide a relaxing base from which to explore the Cham ruins, pretty merchants’ towns and former royal centres of Da Nang, Hue and Hoi An, as well as experience the numerous fishing villages that dot the coastline.

Our favourite beach resorts - Central Vietnam:

  Furama, DaNang

  Banyan Tree, Lang Co

Beaches of Nha Trang, South-Central Vietnam

The amiable and laid-back city of Nha Trang is one of our most popular beach destinations in South-Central Vietnam. Its spectacular setting ranks as one of the world’s most beautiful bays, dotted with scores of small tropical islands offshore and a backdrop of stunning jungle-clad mountains.

Plenty of resorts and hotels line Nha Trang’s extensive beachfront but there are several upscale, exclusive and award-winning resorts hidden among secluded coves and private bays, some of which are only accessed by motorboat. Almost all resorts offer plenty of water sports including world-class scuba diving, snorkelling and leisurely boat excursions to hidden coves and islands for wild swims and fresh seafood barbeques.

Beaches of Mui Ne, Southern Vietnam

Much closer to Ho Chi Minh City, in Southern Vietnam, the former fishing village of Mui Ne is our go-to beach destination for a short retreat at the end of a busy tour. The village upstaged its livelier neighbour, Phan Thiet, and offers relaxing and more peaceful retreats based in some beautiful, smaller boutique hotels. Mui Ne sits on the country's longest stretch of beach, which unusually backs onto a sandy cape of red sand dunes and is covered in palm trees. Shaded narrow cycling paths lead into nearby fishing villages and isolated bays.
