Small Group Tours to Iran
Please Note: We are not currently offering any departures to Iran, following a change in the FCO Travel Advice on 10th January 2020. TransIndus has happily operated tours to Iran for many years, with our clients having greatly enjoyed learning about its rich culture and fascinating history and have repeatedly commented on the warm friendliness of the Iranian locals they've met along the way. We sincerely hope to be able to resume our tours soon and look forward to the day when we can show more of our clients the wonders of Iran. In the interim, TransIndus offers tours to many other countries across the Middle East & Central Asia and we hope one of these other destinations will satisfy your traveller's curiosity. Please do get in touch with our team of travel specialists for further advice.
In addition to our tailor-made holidays, TransIndus runs a programme of group tours to Iran. Focusing mainly on the country’s great cultural and historic landmarks, the trips start in the capital, Tehran. From there, we head south to Shiraz, then overland via Persepolis and nearby tombs of the Achemaenid kings to the spectacular desert oasis of Yazd. Isfahan is next up and, for most, the highlight of the tour. In addition to the big sights, our itinerary also takes in some small market towns and rural villages. None of the journeys are excessively long, and the scenery slipping past the window – ranging from huge, snow-capped peaks to deserts and verdant pistachio fields – is unremittingly beautiful.
As well as being competitively priced, our group journey enables you to share your experiences with a party of like-minded people. Meal times are sociable affairs and great opportunities to forge new friendships or re-kindle old ones! In addition, group members benefit from the local knowledge of an accompanying guide, specially chosen for their expertise. They’ll be with you every step of the way, helping you to make sense of what you’re seeing by filling in the historical and cultural context.
